One of the best parts about starting this school year has been reuniting with my friends, many of whom I haven't seen in ages because they were studying abroad in the spring. It’s been so nice to hear of their globe-trotting adventures and receiving cool souvenirs from Japan, South Africa, Italy...One of my friends who studied in Cape Town, South Africa brought me back a beautiful hand-beaded headband and showed me some elephant artwork. It reminded me of how amazing these creatures are. They’re big, yet graceful. They’re intelligent and artistic. They’re capable of forging emotional bonds (if you don't know the Tarra and Bella story, you NEED to) and they have amazing memories! Here some elephant-inspired items for your enjoyment:
